smsportal.app pricing: an SMS gateway with no per-message fees
How much does smsportal.app cost?
smsportal.app has three plans: Free at $0 (300 outgoing SMS a month), Pro at $9.99 (3,000 SMS) and Unlimited at $24.99 (no app limit). There are no per-message fees: messages go out from your own SIM card, so your mobile carrier bills them under your plan, which often includes unlimited texts.

Plans cover the smsportal platform. Your carrier bills SMS according to your SIM tariff.
What you pay your carrier and what you pay us
An smsportal.app plan pays for the platform: dashboard, REST API, webhooks, the MCP server for AI agents, CSV bulk sending and the Android app. Every plan has every feature; plans differ only in how many outgoing SMS you can send per month.
Your SIM carrier bills the messages themselves. Many mobile plans include unlimited texts, in which case the extra cost per message is usually zero; on prepaid, each message is charged at your carrier rate. Receiving SMS is free on both sides.
There is no limit on the number of phones in any plan. The allowance counts only SMS sent in the current calendar month (UTC) and resets on the first day of the month; received messages do not count.
What do 300, 3,000 and 10,000 SMS a month cost?
Single-segment SMS (up to 160 GSM characters) to US numbers. Third-party prices come from public price lists as of October 2026 and exclude tax, number rental and registration fees; check current rates with the provider. The smsportal.app price is what your card is charged; your carrier plan comes on top.
| Provider | Rate | 300 SMS | 3,000 SMS | 10,000 SMS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| smsportal.app | plan, no per-message fee | $0 (Free) | $9.99 (Pro) | $24.99 (Unlimited) |
| Twilio (US) (price list) | about $0.0083 per segment + carrier fees | $2.49 + fees | $24.90 + fees | $83.00 + fees |
| SMSAPI.com (to the US) (price list) | about €0.035 per SMS, €30 minimum top-up | €10.50 | €105 | €350 |
Twilio also charges for the phone number and, for US business texting, A2P 10DLC registration. With smsportal.app you text from the number you already have.
When is a bulk SMS provider the better deal?
- When you send tens of thousands of messages a day. One phone typically sends hundreds to a few thousand a day, and carriers apply fair-use rules to unlimited texting.
- When you need an alphanumeric sender ID (your company name instead of a number). smsportal.app always sends from your SIM number.
- When you mostly text abroad and your plan has no international SMS.
- When you cannot keep an Android phone powered on and connected.
Pricing questions
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. Payments run through Stripe, and you can download the invoice for every billing period in the dashboard under “Billing & plan”.
Which currency do I pay in?
Customers in Poland pay in Polish złoty (Pro 39.99 PLN, Unlimited 99.99 PLN); everyone else pays in US dollars.
How do I change plans?
In the dashboard under “Billing & plan”. The Free plan needs no card, and you can upgrade at any time.
What happens when I hit the limit?
New sends are paused and the API returns a limit error until the first day of the next month or until you upgrade. Receiving SMS keeps working and does not use the allowance.
Is there a free trial?
Instead of a trial there is a Free plan with every feature and 300 outgoing SMS a month, no card required.
Do I pay for received SMS or for phones?
No. Received SMS and the number of connected phones are not limited in any plan.
